Serving the Nation and the PeopleWhat makes America great? The heart response by thousands of Americans who reach out when others are in need. Many people routinely, without hesitation, open their hearts to those in need. However, too many days often pass before relief services reach an area hit by disaster. As a result the National Emergency Response Team (NERT) was established. With our "People Helping People" approach and technology working in partnership, emergency services arrive where you need them, when you need them.
Our MissionNERT is committed to the establishment of independent and joint ventures to conceive, develop and implement disaster response services and educational programs that coordinate publicly available resources during a crisis situation.
Our Organization
NERT is a volunteer driven organization. Hundreds of volunteers nationwide, with a wide spectrum of talents, donate their time and energy assisting in a variety of NERT programs. We are proud to say that every dollar and material donation goes directly to the cause of helping those affected by a disaster situation. All donations are tax deductible.
NERT is certified by the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. We are also an approved agency with the United Way under our code No.025303. We depend solely on contributions from the public and the business community. |
